History of the Lamb of God Fellowship

History of LOGF

Lamb of God Fellowship began in 1981 with a small group of new believers meeting for Bible Study and fellowship. With a passion for God, through prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we launched a new work. God called us out not that He needed another church building, but to come together in Him, to know Him, and make Him known; to reach out and touch and change the community around us.

During the summer we called Robert Koch as pastor. Through prayer and planning we rented a hall in Clio and began our first Sunday worship services in September of 1981. In 1983 we purchased, renovated and opened the Shepherd’s Center in downtown Clio. The center housed a Christian library for the community, a clothing room for Love Inc, and a Youth Center.

To enlarge and develop the fellowship’s work, we purchased the church building in Montrose. Following major renovations to the building, our first service was held on Easter, 1994. As we have continued to pursue God’s plans and purposes for us we doubled our facilities in the fall of 2000, adding a new sanctuary. And in the year 2010, we added additional facilities for our children’s ministry.
